Piercings can be temperamental in the beginning stages. They require diligence and patience. Please be patient during this process. The healing process for a piercing is roughly between 6-9 months.

We recommend a simple routine for washing the new piercing with a gentle soap and water, twice daily. Once in the morning and again in the evening.

The minimum age for getting a piercing in the Netherlands is 16 years. Nipple piercings can be done from the age of 18 years. We strongly uphold this rule within our studio.

All piercings hurt for a few seconds, some more than others. Generally speaking your imagination is far worse than the actual piercing. It is always better to expect the worst and be pleasantly surprised. There are also numbing products available at your local pharmacy that you can use on most piercings to help reduce the pain.

A piercing generally takes a couple of seconds and fitting the jewellery takes a few seconds more. Once you are in the room most of that time is used for setting up and marking the position.

Occasionally, clients may experience the emergence of a small, red bump in close proximity to their recent piercing (within 8 months or less). This occurrence is both bothersome and aesthetically displeasing. Typically, such a bump manifests subsequent to the piercing undergoing some form of trauma, such as accidental contact, snagging, or being subjected to pressure while sleeping. In addition, air travel and fluctuations in humidity can also contribute to this issue. It is often mistaken for keloid formation, although this is an incorrect diagnosis. The positive aspect is that this condition can be effectively treated, allowing for the preservation of the piercing.
